LUNG TEA
This tea is a combination of herbs to support your lungs throughout the year as we are seeing coughs and colds appearing year long these days. The herbs are not strong in flavour so are very palatable, but are very strong in potency. This tea is a combination of Echinacea, Mullein, Elder Flower, Elecampane and Thyme. Echinacea helps strengthen your immune system, and specifically assists the lungs. Mullein helps soothe irritated mucus membranes and also helps with upper respiratory issues including any ear issues. Elder Flower helps with sinusitis, flu, bronchitis, hay fever, ear issues along with minimising allergic asthma. Elecampane is a very strong herb used for bronchitis, flu, pneumonia, asthma and coughs. Thyme is an amazing herb for the lungs which I have used for kids with croup when they have nothing else handy to use. It’s been traditionally used for croup, whooping cough, bronchitis, asthma, tonsillitis and digestive issues.
BREAST FEEDING TONIC
This blend of herbs helps your body produce a lovely rich supply of milk for your little one. The herbs in this tonic are Goats Rue and Fennel, both are specifically used to produce a healthy milk flow. Nettle is a gentle uterine tonic and great for iron and many other nutrients as well so helps mum’s body with returning to normal while topping up on great nutrition. Calendula is a lovely tonic as an anti inflammatory herb, antimicrobial, uplifting herb that is great for mum and baby. Chamomile and Melissa are both lovely herbs for colic in babies so helps settle mum’s and baby’s tummy through breast milk.
KIDS COUGH TONIC
This tea has been tested by even the fussiest taste tester kiddies and been given the thumbs up. Seriously, this tonic has some very deep acting herbs but none of them are too strong in flavour. Thyme I have used to help kids through croup when mum had no other remedies available. It is such an incredible herb for the lungs. Along with Thyme, there is also Lemon Thyme, Mullein, great for the ears, and to soothe the throat and lungs, Echinacea, lovely immune boosting herb, Elderflower and Eyebright both of which can help with allergies and upper respiratory issues. Try for any upper or lower respiratory issues your child comes down with to help minimise symptoms. You can add honey and / or lemon for added flavour and honey has beautiful medicinal qualities as well. Make a pot in the morning and evening and give to your child warm to sip on through the day and night if needed.
