Fear - Is it Affecting your Health?
We all have fears and we always will, they are a normal healthy emotion designed to keep us safe, but on occasion the very thing put in place to keep us out of harms way can be the source of our anxiety and disease.
And I’m not talking about a fear of spiders or heights or dark waters; these are our healthy fears. No, I am talking about the unhealthy fears that have been conditioned into us ,usually as children, stopping us from living our lives to their fullest potential and causing us to stress and become sick about things that often don’t even exist.
The fear of disappointing others, being rejected, impending doom and disease, failing at something, not being perfect, being heartbroken and the biggest one of them all, the fear of the unknown.
It is these fears rooted deep in our subconscious which are constantly triggered by people, places, situations and thoughts that block us from loving, learning, taking risk, being our authentic selves and trying something new.
So, how do we conquer our fears?
Well first we must acknowledge them, understand them, know where or who they came from and why we unknowingly secured them into place (the short answer is to adapt to our environment as children and keep us safe, but that’s a whole other blog!)
The way to work through these emotional roadblocks is actually a lot simpler and quicker than you may think, we need to re-wire the brain and create new beliefs.
And this is where you need to do the work and daily practice and love yourself enough to make the time in your busy life to face what hurts and heal.
Daily affirmations, guided meditation, surrounding yourself with positive safe people, setting boundaries , speaking up for yourself, caring for your temple and self-love practices, alone and with the support of caring professionals, that will help replace the negative default language and fears with new uplifting beliefs in who you are and just how much you can achieve.
As they say ‘Fortune Favours The Brave’ so this is the perfect time to address that which needs to be addressed and become the best most joyful version of yourself.
And as I say ‘Action Eases Anxiety’ so the time to start is today!!
